Moshe Horn
Mr. Horn earned his B.A. from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. in 1989 and earned his law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1993, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in Trial Advocacy and Mass Torts.
During law school, Mr. Horn served as Executive Teams Editor of the Cardozo Moot Court Board and was named Best Advocate in a national securities moot court competition at Fordham University in 1993. During his third year at Cardozo, Mr. Horn was selected as a member of the law school's Moot Court Trial Team, which earned First Place in the Northeast Regional Moot Court competition. During that competition, Mr. Horn was selected as Best Advocate runner up among oral advocates from 27 participating teams, and was a leading contributor on a Cardozo team that finished ninth in the nation out of 257 law schools.
From 1993 to 2003, Mr. Horn served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's office. As an ADA, Mr. Horn tried over fifty jury trials to verdict, achieving one of the highest conviction rates in the Manhattan office. His trial experience covered both violent and white collar criminal cases, including homicides, sex crimes, kidnapping, money laundering and extortion. During his tenure at the DA's office, Mr. Horn served as a member of the Sex Crimes Unit and the Asian Gang Unit, as well as a domestic violence coordinator in his trial bureau. His ADA work also resulted in numerous grand jury indictments, certain of which required advanced wiretapping techniques and use of undercover officers.
Before joining Seeger Weiss LLP in early 2005, Mr. Horn specialized in the fields of products liability and mass tort litigation while serving as a Senior Associate at Kaye Scholer LLP in New York City. While at Kaye Scholer, Mr. Horn served as one of the primary trial strategists for several trial teams, bearing active responsibility for the preparation and execution of numerous focus groups and mock trials, as well as the conception and development of advanced trial graphics and jury questionnaires. Mr. Horn continues to specialize in mass tort litigation at Seeger Weiss, as well as contributing broadly to the Firm's commercial litigation practice.
Mr. Horn is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. |
