Shopping for laptops is an exhausting task; there are thousands of different models to choose from, and millions of different configurations to select. Manufacturers and computer retailers quote the expected battery life according to Mobile Mark 2007 in the product specifications, but when the consumer actually uses the computer the battery never lasts as long. Worse still, consumers risk losing the ability to use the laptop in the middle of a presentation or just before a deadline is met.
