What is Baycol?
Cerivastatin is sold and marketed under the name Baycol by Bayer AG. Baycol is another drug that falls under the category known as "statins." Statins are prescribed to those who suffer from high cholesterol levels. Studies have indicated that high levels of cholesterol may be a major contributing factor to the cause of cardiovascular disease. Statins are designed to help lower high cholesterol levels by blocking an enzyme in the body that is involved in the creation of cholesterol.
