Thousands of consumers sustain serious injuries as a result of defective products every year. Some of these injuries are very serious. Many would be avoided entirely if the proprietors of these products had taken additional steps to test them for safety.

Manufacturers and distributors of products are legally required to provide safe products and encouraged by potential legal liabilities to do so. They must test their products adequately to ensure they cannot injure consumers.

When a consumer is injured by a product they may be entitled to receive compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, loss of physical capacity, pain, suffering, as well as mental anguish.

Seeger Weiss has taken the lead and achieved notable recoveries in many types of product liability cases. Our lawyers generally hold leadership positions in the many consumer cases in which they are involved. Most recently, Seeger Weiss has been actively involved in the national litigation against Guidant Corporation for manufacturing and distributing defective defibrillators and pacemakers.

Below are some common defective products that result in litigation:
  • Automobiles, Motorcycles, and Bicycles
  • Foods
  • Cosmetics
  • Drugs
  • Medical Devices
  • Baby Strollers
  • Baby Bottles
  • Children's Toys
  • Sporting Goods
Attorney consultations incur no obligation on your part and all initial consultations are free of charge. Seeger Weiss LLP has office locations in both New York and New Jersey.
